What is a sprint velocity chart?

The velocity chart shows how much work, on average, a scrum team produces in a sprint. Because the report monitors the anticipated and accomplished work over numerous sprints, teams may use velocity to predict how quickly they will be able to work through the backlog. The prediction is more precise the more sprints there are.
