Business Goals

"Business Goals" refer to the main purposes that necessitate the new application and serve as guidance and focus over the whole course of the project. They should be formulated in a general way, so that the focus and priorities are clear.

Depending on how the initiative Business Request came about (e.g. from a direct request from management, from one or more tickets of an existing application, ...), the Business Goals are derived from those sources respectively. Here, it is important to distinguish root problems from minor issues as the Business Goals should only cover the main issues that need to be solved.
